Awards Information

The male and female first, second, and third place finishers in all events based on gun time (not chip time) will be recognized and awarded prizes.

All event finishers will receive a medal when they cross the finish line.

Awards will be presented in the Winners Circle in the Finish Line Village at the following times (all times approximate):

9:00 AM – Craven SPORT Services 5K
9:20 AM – GoodLife Fitness 10K
9:40 AM – Eb’s Source for Adventure 21.2K
10:00 AM – Brainsport 42.2K

Prize Money

More than $9,500 in combined prize money will be awarded to the top three winners (Male and Female) in each race distance that is timed (see below for summary). Note that Prize Money is awarded based on GUN TIME. To be eligible for the cash prizes awarded at the SaskMarathon, you must select “male” or “female” as your gender. We welcome those who register as “non-binary” or “prefer not to say” to participate however you are not eligible for these prizes.

Saskatchewan Marathon – Record Breaker Bonus

Should the winner of either the male or female categories beat the SaskMarathon course record times (see below) you will be eligible to receive an additional $1000. Current record holders are:

  • Male: Dave Mutai – 2019: time of 2:22:09

  • Female: Eriko Soma – 2024: time of 2:49:54
